About this site

This Website is not hosted at an ISP (Internet Service Provider), like it's the case in general for the private persons. The pages are directely accessible at my house on one of my computers, in the event, an old Compaq ProLiant 2500 server...

I've only used Free Sofwares who have advantage, on the one hand to be free of charge, and on the other hand to not support any propritary license. These ones are in my opinion of well better made and that at more a title.

I've used exclusively:

  • the OpenBSD Operating System (Unix®-like, free of rights), one of the best so much for his proactive security than for his exemplary stability,
  • the Apache HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) server, worldwide known for his quality and used at 60% over the planet,
  • the text editor VIM (Vi IMproved), an improved version of the antique universal Unix® editor vi, for writing the HTML (HyperText Markup Language) pages according to the strictest definition of the term; no automatic generator has been therefore used here,
  • the images manipulation program The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) for the creation of the squares of colors and for some retouching.

An translation in English was of course not indispensable, but Internet being essentially international, I've judged good to translate this site so that it should be comprehensible of all.

This site is consistent with XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS2 (Cascading Style Sheets, level 2). It has been also tested for a visualization in text mode such as allow the Lynx browser.

This site is optimized for a display's resolution of 800 by 600 pixels.
